I hiked up the mountain behind my school this afternoon.  The sky has been grey and dirty all day, but beautiful anyway.  The hike up the mountain was on a dirt and rock path through thick green trees and bushes.  It was humid, and I could smell the plants.  The green smell reminds me first [...]

Faucet Angst

I went to bed really early, hoping to get up early and have time before work to jog and write.  Last night I jogged for the first time since early spring.  This afternoon I could feel it in my legs.  It felt good.  I got up for a piss, from my early bed time, and [...]

Amanda and I went to the shopping mecca Myeongdong and dropped some cash.  Baller.

Myeongdong is crowded and scary, even from the safety of this overpriced chain coffee shop.

Hey, I found a handful  of toothpicks in my purse.  How did those get there?  And a handful of Korean cash, but Amanda gave that to [...]

I’ve been out of University for a year and six months.  I’ve been living in Seoul for a week shy of ten months.  I will, if all goes according to plan, stay here another year. But that is it for me here.  Finito.  Done.  I need a new adventure.  These things have been knocking around [...]

There is a dead cockroach on my floor.  Dead on arrival.  I didn’t do it.  Earlier this evening I got lucky and managed to squish a fat fruit fly.  I picked it up by a wing, and felt guilty for a few minutes.  Precious life.    I am a creator and destroyer God.  I will [...]
